Individual, Couples, Family, and Group Therapy

Children (ages 3 and up)
My work with children may be on an individual basis through the use of play, puppetry, and art. I also see children in the context of their family. Issues may include such things as: school related problems, fears/anxiety, depression, defiant behavior, attention problems, family stress, and physical, sexual, and emotional abuse.
Adults
My work with adults may be individual, couples, or with several family members. Issues may include: nervousness, panic attacks, low self esteem, depression, sleep problems, relationship or marital conflicts, divorce, preoccupation with food and poor body image, drug and/or alcohol problems and physical, sexual, or emotional abuse.
Adolescents
I see adolescents individually and in family sessions. Adolescents are often resistant to treatment and this is a part of the process. Issues may include such things as: mood changes, drug and alcohol problems, family conflicts, peer issues, and any history of abuse.
Groups
Group therapy enables children, adolescents, and adults to share their experiences and develop solutions together. Group topics may include: learning social skills, improving self esteem, sexual development, managing peer pressure, and healing from traumatic experiences.
